About Auriga
The Charioteer. Capella is the sixth brightest star, actually a quadruple star system. Capella is the brightest star north of the celestial equator after Arcturus. Auriga contains three bright open star clusters M36, M37, and M38. The constellation has been associated with a charioteer since ancient Mesopotamia. AE Aurigae is a runaway star ejected from the Orion Nebula.
