Cancer
About Cancer
The Crab. The faintest of the twelve zodiac constellations. In Greek myth it was the crab sent by Hera to distract Heracles during his fight with the Hydra. Contains the Beehive Cluster M44, visible to the naked eye as a misty patch. M67 is one of the oldest known open clusters. The Tropic of Cancer is named because the Sun stood in Cancer at the June solstice about 2,000 years ago.
