Equuleus
About Equuleus
The Little Horse or Foal. The second smallest constellation, larger only than Crux. One of Ptolemys 48 constellations, lying next to the head of Pegasus. Its brightest star Kitalpha is only of fourth magnitude. In some myths it represents Celeris, the brother of Pegasus. Equuleus contains several double stars but no bright deep-sky objects. Best seen in autumn evenings from northern latitudes.
