Eridanus
About Eridanus
The River. The sixth largest constellation, winding from Orion to the far southern sky. Achernar is the ninth brightest star, the flattest star known due to rapid rotation. Epsilon Eridani is one of the nearest Sun-like stars at 10.5 light-years and hosts at least one planet. The Eridanus Supervoid is a region about 1 billion light-years across that is unusually empty of galaxies, a cosmic mystery.
