About Great Square of Pegasus
A huge, nearly square frame of stars that anchors the autumn sky. Three corners belong to Pegasus, while the fourth, Alpheratz, officially belongs to neighboring Andromeda. Each side spans roughly 15 degrees. From dark sites the square holds dozens of faint stars, a classic test of sky transparency, and its edges point toward distant galaxies.
