About Leo Minor

The Little Lion. Introduced by Johannes Hevelius in the late 1600s, lying between Leo and Ursa Major. A faint group of stars with no star labeled Alpha; its brightest star is 46 Leonis Minoris, also called Praecipua. Near the galaxy IC 2497 lies Hannys Voorwerp, a glowing gas cloud discovered in 2007 by Dutch schoolteacher Hanny van Arkel through the Galaxy Zoo citizen science project.
