About Serpens
The Serpent, held by Ophiuchus. The only constellation split into two separate parts, Serpens Caput the head and Serpens Cauda the tail, on either side of Ophiuchus. Contains the Eagle Nebula M16, home of the Pillars of Creation photographed by Hubble in 1995. The globular cluster M5 is one of the finest in the northern sky. Seyferts Sextet is a compact group of galaxies.
