About Vulpecula
The Little Fox. Introduced by Johannes Hevelius in the late 1600s as the fox with the goose. Contains the Dumbbell Nebula M27, the first planetary nebula ever discovered, found by Charles Messier in 1764. The first pulsar was discovered here in 1967 by Jocelyn Bell Burnell and Antony Hewish. Brocchis Cluster, known as the Coathanger, is an easy binocular asterism of ten stars.
