Carina
About Carina
The Keel of the ship Argo. Canopus is the second brightest star in the night sky. Canopus was used for spacecraft navigation due to its brightness and isolation from other bright stars. Eta Carinae is one of the most massive stars known, 100 times the mass of the Sun and millions of times brighter. The Homunculus Nebula surrounds Eta Carinae, ejected during its Great Eruption in the 1840s.
