About Corvus

The Crow. A compact quadrilateral of stars easily spotted below Virgo. Associated with the crow of Apollo in Greek mythology. Corvus contains the Antennae Galaxies, a pair of colliding galaxies about 60 million light-years away. The collision triggers intense star formation visible as bright blue knots. The ringed planet Saturn passed through Corvus in 1993. A small but distinctive constellation best seen in April.
