About Indus
The Indian. Created by Plancius from observations by Keyser and de Houtman, likely representing indigenous people met by the Dutch explorers. A faint constellation between Grus and Pavo. Epsilon Indi is one of the nearest stars to the Sun at about 12 light-years. It has a pair of brown dwarf companions and a cold giant planet directly imaged by the James Webb Space Telescope in 2024.
