About Microscopium
The Microscope. Introduced by Lacaille in the 1750s, one of his many constellations honoring scientific instruments. A faint rectangle of stars south of Capricornus. AU Microscopii is a young red dwarf surrounded by a dusty debris disk, with at least two known planets. It is part of a group of young stars moving together through space. Few objects of note for casual observers.
