About Musca
The Fly. Created by Plancius from Keyser and de Houtman observations and the only insect among the 88 constellations. Lies just south of Crux in a rich part of the Milky Way. Part of the Coalsack dark nebula extends into Musca. Contains the globular cluster NGC 4833 and the Spiral Planetary Nebula NGC 5189. For a time it was also called Apis, the Bee.
