About Pictor
The Painters Easel. Introduced by Lacaille in the 1750s. A faint constellation next to Canopus in Carina. Beta Pictoris is a young star surrounded by a dusty debris disk, first imaged in 1984, and orbited by at least two giant planets. Kapteyns Star, a nearby red subdwarf, is one of the fastest-moving stars across the sky. Pictor A is a powerful radio galaxy.
