About Piscis Austrinus
The Southern Fish. One of Ptolemys 48 constellations, depicted drinking water poured from the jar of Aquarius. Its brightest star Fomalhaut is one of the brightest stars in the sky and lies about 25 light-years away. Fomalhaut is surrounded by a wide, sharp-edged ring of dust imaged by Hubble and later by the James Webb Space Telescope. It is sometimes called the lonely star of autumn.
