About Sculptor

The Sculptor. Introduced by Lacaille as the Sculptors Studio. A faint constellation that contains the south galactic pole, so it looks out of the plane of the Milky Way toward many galaxies. The Sculptor Galaxy NGC 253 is one of the brightest galaxies in the sky and a vigorous starburst. The Sculptor Dwarf is a satellite of the Milky Way. The Cartwheel Galaxy, a striking ring galaxy, also lies here.
