About The Teapot
Eight stars of Sagittarius outline a stout little teapot with spout, lid, and handle. The spout points almost directly at the center of the Milky Way galaxy, hidden behind cosmic dust. Bright star clouds rising from the spout look like steam. Binoculars reveal clusters and nebulae packed around it, making the Teapot a favorite showpiece of southern summer skies.
