About Telescopium
The Telescope. Introduced by Lacaille in the 1750s, originally drawn as a large aerial telescope suspended from a pole. Later redrawn smaller, with some of its stars returned to neighboring constellations. A faint region south of Sagittarius and Corona Australis. Its brightest star Alpha Telescopii is a blue-white subgiant. Contains the globular cluster NGC 6584 and several faint galaxies.
