About Triangulum Australe

The Southern Triangle. Created by Plancius from Keyser and de Houtman observations, though it may have appeared on earlier maps. Much brighter than its northern counterpart Triangulum. Its three main stars form a near-equilateral triangle. Atria, the brightest, is an orange giant of second magnitude. Lies in the Milky Way near Alpha Centauri and contains the open cluster NGC 6025.
